Description: June 18-22, 9 a.m.-noon
Ever snack on sorrel, dine on dandelions, or brush your teeth with a sassafras twig? Paw Paw campers will investigate traditional uses of native plants in the Arboretum’s wetland, forest, and meadows. Campers will have opportunities to float cattail boats, build forts, sip sumac tea, and model leafy fashion creations. They’ll also discover how wildlife depends on native plants for food and shelter. Games, healthy snacks, guided exploration, crafts, and team-building will round out the week.
Fee: $125 members, $145 general public
There is a $10 discount for siblings. Please call 410.634.2847, ext. 0 to register multiple campers.
